We can readily guide groups of up to 18 rock climbers. Please call us to discuss pricing and availability for larger guided groups! Minimum rock climber age for climbing in Joshua Tree is 6 years old. Time slots for less than a day in Joshua Tree are available in morning or afternoon blocks. You can choose between a 4, 6, or 8 hour guided rock climbing session during the checkout process. If you are planning a 4 hour rock climbing session, please select 8:00 AM or 1:00 PM as a starting time during the checkout process.
Please note: if you are new to rock climbing (never been rock climbing before) and are interested in a “rock climb all day” session, an 8 hour rock climbing session in Joshua Tree by yourself may be a little too much to absorb. If you have never been rock climbing before, we recommend a 4 or 6 hour session for such pursuits. However, if you feel you are ready for a full day of rock climbing in Joshua Tree, want to experience a larger portion of Joshua Tree National Park, or are interested in technical rock climbing training, by all means book an 8 hour rock climbing guided session with us! We will keep the rock climbing and technical information coming! An 8 hour rock climbing session is perfect for technical training or guided rock climbing in multiple areas. Many rock climbing clients prefer to book an 8 hour session with us and learn rock climbing technical skills for the first half of the day and practice those rock climbing technical skills in the afternoon. Clients who want to see a bigger portion of Joshua Tree National Park or a larger variety of rock climbing areas also enjoy booking an 8 hour (all day) guided session with us. If you have tried rock climbing in the past and have fallen in love with the sport (completely understandable), an 8 hour rock climbing session is highly recommended! Our rock climbing guides love to teach beginner/advanced lead rock climbing, lead climber belaying, rock climbing gear placement techniques, rock climbing anchor building, rappelling from the top of a climb, rock climbing anchor cleaning, and rock climbing techniques (hand jamming, foot jamming, flagging, movement efficiency, breaking that mental block that keeps you from sending, how to trust your gear, how to assess lead falls and proper falling techniques). We also have a very popular “from gym to crag” option. This unique session guides climbers interested in taking their indoor gym climbing skills into the great outdoors!
